Canadian Pain Relief Centre (CPRC) is a physical rehabilitation centre specialising in the treatment of injuries and pain. Our goal is to get you out of pain quickly and permanently. Team Approach

At CPRC, treatment is rendered by multidisciplinary clinical teams composed of physiotherapists, chiropractors, and physiotherapy assistants. Each clinical team meets regularly to discuss your progress and to ensure that the most effective treatment methods are being used for your specific condition.

Physiotherapy

CPRC has an excellent physiotherapy team that has had a tremendous amount of success in relieving aches and pains. Much of this success is attributed to the use of hands-on soft tissue techniques that improve range of motion as they reduce muscle stress and tension. In addition, emphasis is also placed on custom exercise programs that are designed to help build strength around the injured area and prevent further injury. Modalities such as ultrasound and acupuncture are also available to help relieve your pain. Many injuries can also benefit from heat, ice, paraffin wax, or electrical muscle stimulation – relaxing modalities that are given while patients unwind on our massage tables at the end of treatment.

Chiropractic

Patients with problems such as back pain, neck pain, and headaches can often benefit from chiropractic care. The chiropractic adjustment is a safe and effective way to relieve pain and restore motion to stiff joints. Chiropractic care also helps to remove postural imbalances and spinal misalignments that build up over time. CPRC employs a variety of safe, gentle chiropractic techniques to ease your pain.

Orthotics/Orthopedic Shoes

If you are experiencing pain or discomfort in your feet, ankles, knees or hip joints, the cause may be problems with your feet. CPRC utilizes cutting edge computer software to examine your feet as you walk as well as a cast of your foot to get the best three dimensional data possible. The results accurately show if your pain stems from abnormal pressure zones, flattened arches, or instability in your feet. These pains can be effectively eliminated with the use of custom built orthotics and orthopedic shoes.

About Orthopedic Shoes:

CPRC offers a wide selection of popular brands and styles of orthopedic shoes for men and women. Click here to browse our selection . If you would prefer a style that we don’t offer, you may purchase your own footwear (CPRC will then reimburse you for the cost of your shoe, up to $130). This option allows you the freedom to get any shoe you desire. Following selecting or purchasing the shoe of your choice, CPRC will customize your footwear to meet your needs.

CPRC prides itself on customer service. We have a small waiting room, and for good reason. It is rare for any patient to wait for care at our clinic. The moment you arrive is the moment your care begins. We do everything to make your visit a pleasurable experience. Personalized one-on-one care is always a part of your visit. Most extended insurance plans will cover your visit. There are some insurance plans that contain some exceptional features that make getting treatment even easier. With these plans, physiotherapy coverage is unlimited; you can use our services as much as needed without ever running out of coverage. Many plans will also allow us to bill your provider directly so you never have to pay first and file your claim on your own.

Some of the policies with these exceptional features are held by the Hamilton Catholic and Public School Boards, Canada Post, Hamilton Police and Fire,  SR, and City of Hamilton employees.
